[New Orleans, LA, US] 新奧爾良的復古電車和百年活古董(#2已加相)
本帖最後由 S3BL100 於 2018-9-9 10:50 編輯新奧爾良電車自 19 世紀中葉開始運作，歷史悠久，當中 St. Charles Avenue Line
更為全球現存最古老電車線，每一輛電車都是法定古蹟。來到這兒，當然不可以不順道拜訪。

2000 系復古電車，由 Brookville Equipment Corporation 建造底盤，
New Orleans Regional Transit Authority 自行建造車身，設有冷氣，2002-03 年間投入服務。
2005 年，颶風卡特里娜吹襲期間，這批電車停放的車廠被水淹沒，水深五呎高，致使大部份電子設備報廢，
需進行重建，2009 年後方才陸續投入服務。這批電車現時主要行走 Canal Street Line。

Canal Street 車站是 Canal Streetcar Line 和 Riverfront Streetcar Line 的交匯點，旁邊是水族館。

為數只有七輛的 400 系電車，1999 年投入服務，留意車頂不設冷氣，車門配置亦與 2000 系有別。
卡特里娜風災期間，這批電車的命運跟較新的 2000 系一樣，最終要全部重建，2010 年前後重新投入服務。

900 系電車，1923-24 年間投入服務，已有將近一個世紀的歷史，是真正的活古董。
它們行走的 St. Charles Avenue Line，自 1835 年起運作，除了卡特里娜風災導致路軌和電纜受損，
暫停服務了一年多外，一直無間斷運作，是全球最老的電車線。
上圖的 922，似乎發生故障，在這兒清客後，要駛進側線。

從 Lee Circle 駛進巿中心商業區路段的電車。雖然表列班次乃 9 分鐘一班，但在這兒站了不到十分鐘，
就有四架電車駛過，可見電車脫班情況甚為嚴重。

（手機攝）來到新奧爾良，當然要品嘗 Southern cuisine，第一餐是 pork chop + mustard greens + cornbread + rice

這個地方雖然是遊客區，但據聞治安不太好，加上去年同一個大型會議在 Baltimore 舉行時，幾乎被人搶劫財物，
從來沒有試過開會如此提心吊膽。見到快要天黑，而且之前心目中選定的兩間餐廳，今天都沒有營業，
於是索性回酒店吃晚餐便是。Shrimp po-boy sandwich 是聞名的南方美食，不得不試，
但酒店餐廳的價錢挺貴。
