MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of In-Train CCTV System for CAF and K Trains.The scope of works includes the design, manufacture, installation, testing and commissioning of the In-Train CCTV System for 11 eight-car CAF Trains running on the Airport Express Line (AEL), 12 eight-car CAF Trains and 4 eight-car K Trains running on the Tung Chung Line (TCL), and 13 eight-car K Trains running on the Tseung Kwan O Line (TKL), with the following provisions:
- Trainborne equipment such as Car-based Controllers, IP Cameras, Touch-screen-control Display Units, Video Image Converters, which are required to interface with the Integrated On-board Communication System (IOBCS) (provided by others) in Kowloon Bay Depot (KBD). The trainborne equipment shall provide transmission and storage of real time CCTV images and control data and shall be networked via fixed LAN and 4G LTE connections inside and across the carriages.
- On-ground computer terminals and accessories in the Station Control Rooms of AEL, TCL and TKL, and Operations Control Centre in Tsing Yi Station. The on-ground computer terminals and accessories shall be able to interface with the IOBCS in KBD for the real time viewing of the CCTV footages, recording and system clock synchronization of the trainborne equipment via the Corporate Data Network.
- The In-Train CCTV System for the 13 eight-car K trains shall also be configurable for running on the Island Line, Kwun Tong Line and Tsuen Wan Line.
