data of Enviro200Dart has been released

After I read the data, I feel disappointed on the design of chassis.
I think they should use the rear design of Enviro200 to make a totally flat floor.
Now they just put the new body onto the Dart chassis, so I think that Dart has no advancement.

Welcome to discuss

Believe you mean chassis.

Just saw the dash, I don't think those buttons will last very long. You'll soon fine wholes everywhere on the dash few years down the line.

Frankly speaking, the E200 Dart is as you said "a Dart with a new body".
If ADL integrate the rear design of E200 to Dart, then why don't the operators choose the E200 directly?
The Dart's key to success is the simplicity of its chassis.
Compared to E200, the Dart has a ordinary chassis design, which means the engineers of the operators can be easily adapted to it.
No wonder 12000 Darts were produced over the last 15 years, in average 800 buses per year.

Around a few months ago, the E200 went to London (or somewhere in UK if I forgot) for daily service test.
Unfortunately, as I heard about, it's not a success. No operators formally ordered it.
But as the revealing of E200 Dart, some operators had ordered for it, accmulated 100+ buses in production queue.
So, it's not hard to know which design is more popular to the UK operators. :D

Sometimes, advancement doesn't mean everything. It seems that in Dart case, "Back To Basic" is better than "Technological Advancement".

The operating environment in UK is different with
continental Europe, which most operators adopt
the approach of single door in UK,
a toally flat floor is not really needed.

Yes i agree with you.

Most operators just want buses which are easy to live with, other than something new but difficult to use.
