Nobody discusses this typhoon because many boardmates do not think it comes to Hong Kong.However, the nearest point is about 580 km, south of Hong Kong.:PThe weather situation becomes complicated because of windiness, driness, and ?.

其實之前曾經聽人講過..話東北季風係低層氣流..
主要係會影響d較為弱既熱帶氣旋~..
可能之前無預過個風過左菲律賓仲能夠以颱風級數入南海掛~
同埋最重要有一點..就係個風以北有個弱點產生左~
加上佢附近個引導氣流轉弱..自自然然就會向北推進..

東北季候風其實無論對強或弱的熱帶氣旋均有影響
至於影響有多大則視乎東北季候風強度
被東北季候風的「乾燥」消滅的經典例子有1987年的颱風蓮娜
蓮娜由一個中心風力每小時175公里的颱風
於12小時內減弱至僅為每小時95公里的強烈熱帶風暴
由此可見
東北季候風並非只影響弱的熱帶氣旋
至於路徑方面
東北季候風亦不一定會阻礙熱帶氣旋北移
同以颱風蓮娜為例(或亦可參考98年的寶絲或99年的利奧)
在強烈的東北季候風亦可以採取偏北的路徑
但當中的原理

According to Hong Kong Obsevatory, this statement is wrong. :lol
However, because the typhoon comes nearer to Hong Kong, it does not tend to Vietnam.
The typhoon will go west or southwest later, but it cannot reach to Vietnam untill 11/4/06.
The latest news on 11/1/06: the typhoon won't go to Vietnam. :victory:
because of NE monsoon, the typhoon goes Northwest instead. :kiss:

There will be good chance that Hong Kong to rain on 11/2 and 11/3.
The sun will not shine on 11/4. :L
The dry period may end and there will be another NE monsoon comes next week.
There will be no regular sunny next 7 days.
