Update from Bristol- Park & Ride

Hi all

Just inform you that First Somerset & Avon have lost their Park & Ride contract in Bristol and Rotala, the owner of Flights Hallmark, Veolia and the recent buy out of South Gloucestershire Bus & Coach's Bus operation has gained both 902 & 903 P&R.

902 is currently operating between Centre & Portway (A4) P&R- using seven B7L (66350- 66356)

903 is the A370 Long Ashton P&R- using six Volvo Olympian NC (34155-34160)

Under the terms and condiditons, Veolia (Rotala) will use brand new lowfloor vehicles and we are expecting a new bus war to start in Bristol since the local operator of South Gloucestershire Bus & Coach is now under Flights Hallmark's management.

Meanwhile, the Durbin family still owns the coach operation of SGBC and they are sharing the same depot in Patchway.

Anyone fancy to become the new Operation Manager of Flights Hallmark in Bristol??

Note from the page:

In Bristol we expect to start operating from early March a Bus business originally starting at 14 vehicles and growing to 26 by Mid April, following the award of 2 high profile contracts.
