[GB] Company Profile - Finglands

After almost 3 months of stoppage, Company Profile returns with what I left off previously, with EYMS-owned Finglands.

Finglands is one of the (previously) many smaller operators that compete in Manchester. It hasn't got a massive network - in fact all its operations are focussed on the Oxford Road corridor, arguably one of the most hotly contested area in the British bus market, and compete bitterly with Stagecoach Manchester. This company has been around for a long time, and it offers very cheap fare to lure customers. But if you think they run shabby looking buses because of that, don't be fooled - Under the stewardship of the respected EYMS, Finglands actually operate a fairly modern fleet.

Not this one though - actually it dated back to 2002, and this Atlantean is, ironically, a former GMPTE bus:

It used to operate a number of Volvo Citybuses as well, but these have been replaced by newer buses over the years:

Fingland's fleet comes from quite a mix of source. Because of its connection with EYMS, it comes at no surprise that some ex-EYMS buses would find their way here, like this low-height Royale Olympian:

It also have its buses bought as new, like 1742:

Or used buses bought in from outside. 1783 is formerly Stagecoach East London VN27

Finglands also has a large portion of its fleet with low floor buses. This Trident is one of the 2 bought for evaluation by EYMS against a couple of B7TLs. The B7TL won the evaluation, and the Tridents ended up with Finglands:

As EYMS standardise its double decker buy with Volvo, of course Finglands also has a few B7TLs under its procession:

During the last couple of years, Finglands received an intake of new buses. The turn of 2006/7 saw a few Enviro 300 joining the fleet:

And this summer have seen 5 B9TLs joining in as well, making them the newest buses in the fleet:
