《倫敦地鐵》新車廂
《倫敦地鐵》新車廂倫敦地鐵將會分階段把所有Sub-surface lines 半地底行車線;即Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan Lines的列車,軌道及信號系統更新。
完成後將把載客量增加45%,並提供更快,更可靠服務。
首列新列車將會在2010年在Metropolitan Line投入服務, 2015年才把全部四條的半地底行車線完成所有更換工程。
這列新車將會是倫敦地鐵首列冷氣列車,並提供更多空間及更容易上下車。
新列車已開始在Derby郡制作當中, 首列新列車將會在2009年運往倫敦進行測試。
時間表:
2009 年--首列新列車將會在2009年運往倫敦進行測試
2010 年--首列新列車將會抵達Metropolitan Line
2011 年--首列新列車將會在抵達Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines
2013 年—首列新列車將會抵達District Line
2015 年--完成所有半地底行車線的更換工程。

53 列七卡編組列車行走Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines
80列七卡編組列車行走District Line

個人認為,以上的設計,到了2008年的今日,顯得欠缺新意,
到2015 年就顯得落伍了。不少設計,早在三至五年前香港鐵路及廣州地鐵已採用了.

Don't expect too much on western's public transports.
By western standard, London is already very assertive on improving their PT systems.
Come to Melbourne and experience the pre-WW2 travel experience. 算啦，2012年倫敦舉辦奧運，更換地鐵新列車是必需做的，讓當地市民及外地旅客，改善對倫敦地鐵的形象。
至於新列車模型顯示的外觀及內裝，我覺得是穩重實際多於美觀前衛。 In my point of view, the London Underground is having "World class fare, third world system"! It is great that they start to upgarde their rolling stocks. 我諗一個問題係倫敦地鐵大部份服務路段、車站
都有超過一百年歷史，加上當年為縮皮，所有車站同隧道都起到好細、窄，
要升級有一定難度... 現在港鐵在車廂內的路綫圖已經細(還可看到),可是倫敦地鐵車廂內的路綫圖一樣大,不能想像如何看 tubes 的改善工程晌前幾年已經展開
車站其實係陸陸續續提升硬件裝備
(所以咪要斷斷續續咁封站, 或者要提早收車時間來配合)
話晒幾百個車站, 路軌配套要逐步更換
雖然話有兩間公司在不同區份配合做
但這個工程需時要差不多十年, 現在才是過了一半左右
