12月6日，是巴士界重要的一天一條服務新界九龍近40年歷史，尤其在新界北區別舉歷史意義，見證巴士時代變遷的九巴70號路線，於12月6日晚凌晨便會開出最後的一班的尾班車......

上水巴士總站 (11:41pm-12:55am)
真係熱鬧非常，相信有超過300名巴迷在場，歡送這條古老兼行車時間最長的巴士路線
每當有70號巴士埋站和開出，巴迷都報以歡呼聲，場面熱鬧感人
但由於人多，站長需親自引領巴士入站，以策安全；部份巴迷亦體現互助的精神，每當有巴士埋站亦高呼提醒大家「睇車」

站長在車門連喊兩聲：「仲有無人上車!!....仲有無人上車!!」，隨即指示這輛尾班70號開出(時間約為12:53AM)，標誌九巴70號路線劃上句號，完成40年服務新界北及九龍的任務
