【MM2 教學】將AI對手換成addon車輛

由於懶惰,所以不費時翻譯我貼於mm2c討論區之文章了,希望各位用得着:D

For those who are tired of racing with the MM2 default cars, here's a nice and easy way to change the default AIs into any cars you want.

Extracting Files
First, extract the following files from mm2core.ar/race/london & /sf using DeAR2 or anything similar.

circuit*.aimap_p
race*.aimap_p
mmcircuitdata.csv
mmracedata.csv

Note:
>>There are 10 circuit races in London and SF, so extract circuit0.aimap_p to circuit9.aimap_p
>>Likewise, there are 12 checkpoint races for both cities, so extract from race0.aimap_p to race11.aimap_p
>>For amateur player profiles, extract circuit*.aimap and race*.aimap instead

Opening the aimap
As a start, let's use London's first circuit race (name: Mini Race) as an example. Open up circuit0.aimap_p. Under the heading is a list of AI opponent cars that will appear in the race. The default car used here is the New Mini Cooper (basename: vpcoop2k).

Changing Default AIs into Other Cars
Turning the Mini into something else is simple. Just check the basename for the cars you'd like to see in the race with WinRAR, and then replace vpcoop2k with their basenames.

Here's an example:

Now, the default Minis' are changed to lzr's DBR9, Hummfred's Skyline BNR34, MM Team Germany's C-Klasse DTM, Rich's McLaren F1 LM, and MNS's Corvette C6R.

Race Conditions
The default race conditions such as weather, traffic density, time of day, no. of laps etc, are controlled by the files mmcircuitdata.csv and mmracedata.csv where the former is for circuit races and the latter is for checkpoint races. These files can be opened and editted with MS Excel or notepad.

If you use Excel, Column B to K are conditions for amateur profiles and L to U are for professional profiles. Here is an illustration of codes for Time of Day and Weather in the csv files:

Time of Day
0 = morning
1 = noon
2 = evening
3 = night

Weather
0 = clear
1 = cloudy
2 = foggy
3 = raining

Final Step - Putting the Mod to MM2
Finally, when you're done with editing, compress the race folder and name it !race_mod.ar or anything u like and put it back to where mm2 is installed. Just make sure it is located in front of mm2core.ar for the mod to work.

毋須將檔案改名,只須用原本檔案名字。但有時當中包含之車輛POLY太多,會導致 Heap Overrun 而彈Game。建議先用單一車輛嘗試(例如 AEC Routemaster - basename: vpddbus),確定能入Game後再換其他車試試。

用deAR2解壓並取出所需檔案後,必須將整個 Race folder 移到C:\ (或其他HD)。當完成修改aimap後再壓縮為一個 ar 檔。

其實除左 Export 部巴士做 traffic 既 pkg 之外....用呢個類似方法可唔可以轉做 traffic ?

Player car 之 pkg 與 traffic 之 pkg 並不相同。
Player car 之 pkg 應該不能改作 traffic 之 pkg 。
