讀大學通常都係用professor 和tutor的notes，除非assignment需要用到教科書，
否則好少機會要買書。

大學是用professor 和tutor的notes為多,有時assignment都用notes就夠,我曾試過成本書800幾頁只用過十頁左右,除非professor 和tutor覺得要用書先會買,否則去圖書館借或用notes

回歸前有ELBS的英國版平裝大專用書，係會正常版本平一些的。

在香港有D大學用書叫 "Asian Edition" 賣 200 蚊港紙有找
在美國買US Edition 則要 100 美金
分別係 US edition 係硬皮而 Asia Edition 係軟皮
同埋 Asia Edition 標明 Not for sale in US
所以有好多港人都買 Asia Edition 過美國之後在亞洲人圈子賣平舊書

至於點解Asia Edition 咁平?聽晨X書店的經理話書商賣 Asia Edition 係蝕賣的，目的為左減少(留意，係減少) D大學生去影印鋪影晒成本書的行為

所以呢各位唔該支持下正版,買呢D書啦,唔好影咁多啦

Yup, just like me and my g/f, we buy about 20 international editions/ quarter (4 quarters in a school year), and sell it 20-30% less then the US edition in US to American Student, All I can say is the profit margin is quite large.Also, even thought the books said not for sale in USA.But actually, it's legal...because the publisher failed to get the congress to pass the bill to restrict the import of internation editions, since there are alot of oppositions from College students in US.
