Ldn new VLAs for Arriva
Dear All,Arriva have ordered many VLAs for routes 128 and route 159 .
Those are starting to arrive early, and 4 alerady entered service from Barking on routes 20 & 275.
The VLAs are Volvo B7L with alx400 body- 10m long.
They differ from previous batches by having an extra opening window on each side, and, of course, the new all red Arriva London colour scheme with white roof.
This batch is fitted with the traditional DDA standard blinds.
Here are two shots- an offside of VLA132 on route 20, and a nearside of VLA131 on route 275.

Yoram. Is it the very last batch fitted with ALX400 bodywork?
Thanks. as far as I am aware, the last order for volvos B7L with alx400 bodies is the one for Arriva London, for route 159. the order is for 30 odd buses- by 10th dec 2005.
the last order for denis tridents with alx400 bodies should be the one for stagecoach london- due in jan/feb 2006 for route 47 in London.
Stagecoach London indicated that the next double deck order should be for E400 buses.
