之前睇過一篇報導，話英國人覺得用上較多拉丁字源的字為之「優雅」英文。hkicq君已講了理由。
Even west coast have sub English such as the Califorian, and the North West, I speak the North Western accents, such as the word Height, we said the "th" sound instead of of the "t" sound.Also, we said "Geoduck" as Goo Wee duck" (This is the actual pronouncation", but alot of East Coast American or Canadian said "Geo Duck".and another example is Oregon, it's pronounce "Ore gen", not "Ore Gone".

I've attended one lesson of French, I found it very difficult from the Latin point of view, so I quit it. :P I don't recommend those who are not so good at languages to learn French as a 3rd language.

閩南、客家話仲優雅，保留好多唐宋古音，讀唐詩宋詞
比用普通話容易上口得多。

誤會了，篇報導我係睇新聞睇返來的。原文大意話，比較過英國某名人及英女皇的公眾講話，該名人講話中有較多拉丁字源的英文字，所以其英文比英女皇更「優雅」云云。
