AC 065 Toronto - Seoul
Date : Sept. 16, 2005AC 065 Toronto - Seoul Incheon
Flight Load : about 25-30%
Flight Time : about 14 hours from gate to gate
The Toronto - Seoul direct flight is a new route for Air Canada. However, there were surprisingly few passengers, which was great because there were plenty of rows of empty seats to sleep on. Even the flight attendants were a bit surprised of the light loading as we pulled out of Pearson. I was moving around the plane throughout the flight to get the views from both the left and right sides of the plane.

I've never had a good experience with catering from Toronto. This meal tasted quite bad.

The descent into Seoul was extremely turbulent. There were low clouds over Seoul and we were still in the clouds just seconds before touching down at Incheon. At one point the turbulence was so bad we bounced up and down quite violently and the FAs had to take cover and buckle up.

Overall Thoughts
AC's service was decent. It wasn't anything spectacular but the crew took good care of the few passengers on board. There was a major difference in the crew composition though. I don't think any one of the Korean-speaking crew was over 30 whereas I doubt any of the English-speaking crew was under 35.
