[SYD] 服務V8的非V8巴士
剛剛過左的週末, 雪梨市奧林匹克公園舉行了首屆V8賽車,化身成為賽車場的奧林匹克頓時熱鬧起來.
小弟都有份渣,不過係巴士咁解 :lol
三日渣左三架Volvo, 一架B10M, 兩架B12BLE. Do these companies have buses fitted with V8 engines?

Well, you are definitely incorrect.

some addon, the two engines i mentioned were successful for application on highway coach but not transit bus.

V8 failed should be because of high fuel consumption. V6 eingines were quite succesful in north america for both transit bus and highway coach, but not anymore There is also a variant of the Isuzu Erga that uses a V8 engine for route bus, the KL-LV280 series.
V8 engines for buses in Japan can go up to a very large capacity for power, notably the Mitsubishi Fuso Aero King (MU612TX) that has a 21205 cc V8 naturally aspirated engine of 430 PS!
V type diesel engines were given up because of emission and fuel issues...

You recalled me about the KC-LV280 / 380 series. I doubt if there are buses with this engine attaining KL emission standard.
You also recalled me that the Mitsubishi U-MU525TA is another example.
I realised that I have written so many new entries with V8 engined buses.
