Thanks for your attention, actually I have said that they have "no membrane-bound nuclei" in the very next sentence, which means the same as "no well-defined nuclei" - the nuclear membrane is something to "define" the nucleus. It's my fault that I haven't investigated the wordings seriously.

I wanna ask, what is the function of host?
If host serves to provide nutrients for the virus,
then why does the virus tend to kill the host?
It seemed to me that they would lost their "shelter" if they killed the host,
and it was unwise for bateria to do so.
