Buses in Sheffield

Hello all,

Visited Sheffield yesterday; here are some bus photos- hard to select 5 out of the many I took!

I start with a narrow Solo No 18 operating by Sheffield Community Transport, turning into Meadowhall Transport Interchange, notice the power station and the famous green road behind.

Yorkshire Terrier operates quite a lot of routes in the city, and here is East Lancs bodied dart 128 on route 123 outside the bus station.

Next: three buses from First:

First bought the remains of the operation of the Sheffield City Corporation which used to operate all bus services in Sheffield before 1985.

Here is Wright bodied volvo B10 60570with the 'old' corporation colour scheme on route 4.

On the same location, an alx400 volvo B7TL 31139 on pink route 76,

and, finally, an alexander body denis 30504 on route 132- bought origionally by the Sheffield City Corporation.

Regards

Yoram

and... Trams!

Sheffield has a tram system run by Stagecoach. there are over 20 trams on 4 routes. It is an interesting system, with many hills and good rides.

Here is tram 103 near Spring Hill.

Nice photo, stay here for more than five year but never take one as good as yours.
