The buses were converted to open top buses and repainted in BigBus colours.
what we are not sure of are the engines: if the buses are to run in London, the engine must becompatible with Euro2/3 emission standard.

Just one remark to make:
BigBus did not buy these S3BL directly from KMB.They all went through a dealer in Hong Kong.
3 of them had already arrived Earlsfield and awaited to be re-engined + MOTed.

AS far as I understand it, the buses would replace older Titans in the London fleet. The Titans are getting older,and they are also smaller than the S3BLs. The best ones might be re-used elsewhere. Do not forget that at least 5 DMSs from the late 70s are also in use.
The main difficulties for bus fans in London would be to match the previous HK identity with the new UK identidy. It is not possible for us to lift the engine lid and see what the chasis number is for each individual bus!
From the photos of the 2 buses in BigBus livery published above, it seems that there are no external clues to their former KMB identity!
Right now, it is the low season for sightseeing tours in London, and the Big Bus Company has plenty of time to prepare those buses for service in the summer season .

I also find that they are no "orginal style head s3BL" went to the Bigbus
all of them are using the normal front head.
