Cannot use keyboard
I'm using a Dell Inspiron 4000 notebook. Yesterday, while on iTalk, the keyboard automatically typed words and entered search command. So I shut it down.After that, I switched it on and it did not respond to the password I typed in. But the mouse control was fine. After that sometimes some characters entered automatically on the password field but I could not delete it with the backspace and delete buttons.
I want to try to press F2 and F8 for setttings but most of the time it failed. Also, the lock lights (caps lock, num lock) does not change its light when I press on it.
It this possibly a virus? It there any way out? #:( Have you tried to use another keyboard? If the other keyboard shows the same problem, I think your keyboard port (maybe PS/2) has a problem.

The problem was found in his notebook. I don't believe that he was using
an 'external' keyboard.
