the deuce route will be shorten on march28, from mandalay bay hotel to palace station.
I am shocked to hear this... I didn't manage to find this information on the RTC website, though. Last time I was in Las Vegas riding on the Deuce (Aug 2009), it was packed all along the way, though it was more crowded along South Strip than north of W Sahara avenue.
Does this decision have anything to do with cost-cutting?
This service change means that it now gets less convenient to travel to and from downtown Las Vegas, where the majority of budget hotels and casinos can be found :( Does it also mean that no more E500s can be seen near downtown?
I might want to visit the Sin City again later this year.

The main idea for this service change is that RTC wants to focus service along the hotel area, tries to increase on-time performance, and takes pax from Downtown to hotel area in a faster way by introducing new BRT line to connect downtown and SSTT and reschedule The Deuce from Palace stationto Mandalay Bay (circular). The new BRT line (ACE Goldline) can take pax to the place where they want to go from Downtown in a faster way by having limiting stops on the strip.
After the service change, there is still E500 on 107, but if you are looking for 42ft E500 in service, downtown and SSTT are not the places you should go

I am wondering how many 42ft will become surplus after service change, or will some of them will dispatch on local routes.
In this few weeks, Wright Street Cars are training all around the valley. Even one time appeared in Sunset Station, Henderson.:loveliness: 原帖由 nwfb23 於 2010-3-25 00:08 發表 http://hkitalk.net/HKiTalk2/images/common/back.gif
