[GB] Stagecoach returns to London
After selling their London operations 4 years ago, Stagecoach has reacquired the operations from Australian investment bank Macquarrie for a net expense of £52.8M. Macquarie bought it because they thought they could make a profit by selling it on in the future, which obviously didn't work out. Stagecoach pulled out in 2006 not because the business was unprofitable, but more because of a lot of constraints imposed by TfL, which Stagecoach don't like.
