[UK] - some old pics from Kingston
was digging thru an old album of mine and found these pics. The HDD was cursed but lucky to found them on a server. really good/ memorial post!! We can see the difference of Kingston from the past till nowadays. Most of the models have been moved out of the Kingston Area except for Dart and the first pic one. :loveliness:BTW.. where is the place in pd67? Is it a bus garage?:o

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5007/5267194796_c252fa74d0_z.jpg Kingston bus garage is where the ODEON cinema is.also the big Sainsburys on Richmond Road used to be a bus yard during Westlink, later London United.Surprisingly, Kingston Garage serves the London Garage code ofK, which we used to name it the "K depot" to resemble the K depot in HK.
These pics were taken during the era from London & Country to Arriva, which the routes and vehicles were later splitted and absorbed into the TGM, Epsom Buses and Travel West London empires and latterly Abellio London.
Back then KU1 was only ran by Darts and its not nice to ride on them. Also seen my driver friend Pete from London & Country, he is now moved to New Zealand and I have lost contact with him.
In pd66.jpg, the Armchair Olympian was taken at very much the same place on Brook Street as you did for the Transdev Scania, ofcos, almost 12 years apart.
