我未去過,聽國內朋友講乍,:handshake
果頭塵土飛揚,周圍都可見泥地,
大廈多數十零層or以下,
主要道路深惠路連地下劃線都無,
相比舊深圳經濟特區境內,有一定距離
完全係Urban-encroachment occuring 的 Rural 典 ...
我自己去過幾次
龍崗區好大, 東至南澳，西至 土反 田, 仲有布吉、草埔都係, 比香港任何一個區都大
沿深惠公路的確係可以見到好多地盤, 但其實都有唔少已發展地區, 亦有好靚既別墅區, 例如六約站既振業城, 冇記錯係2005年落成的, 係深圳第一個綠色設計既屋苑, 草埔亦有好多大型屋苑
今年世界大學運動會響龍崗區搞, 加上地鐵通車, 所以見到周圍趕工一D 都唔出奇

雙龍站旁既商場已經關門大吉，似乎係想趁地鐵通車做大重建。

Density like below is already considered as urban area.

龍崗(龍城)點都唔同天水圍, 起碼住果附近的人返工唔洗下下出市區
有相當部份都是本地消化
This is the typical commute pattern in the third world/developing world.
People live very close to where they work.

新市鎮的朝早, 一大棚人迫出市區, 到中午時份變得清靜, 鳥語花香..
傍晚又一大棚人迫番入新界, 戶戶燈火通明..
完全兩個世界
Hong Kong is not 畸型.
The commute pattern in Hong Kong is just the same as most other big cities around the world.
In developed world, residential areas and commercial areas are very well defined.
This phenomenon is driven by two factors:
- high land price in commercial areas
- people moving away from commercial areas to have a better living environment.

深惠路真係好多人, 而商業活動計重得多過天水圍
而地鐵車費絕對係計過快線, 年中坐快線出入龍崗去客家人博物館, 無計錯快線車費用深圳通車費係7.25, 雙龍上車一般情況都有位坐(上到車), 係就係多燈同深惠路塞車, 但 ...
或者掉轉頭講一有鐵路先至有巨大的發展

Those photos are not there to define rural. Please read the contents.
60% of Hong Kong land is completely uninhabited country park and some outback villages are also considered rural.
I am sure there is a global definition of urban/rural and this definition is used to obtain the "global urban population" which is reported occasionally on media.
US urban definition:
An urbanized area consists of a central city and surrounding areas whose population ("urban nucleus") is greater than 50,000. They may or may not contain individual cities with 50,000 or more; rather, they must have a core with a population density generally exceeding 1,000 persons per square mile; and may contain adjoining territory with at least 500 persons per square mile. Thus, rural areas comprise open country and settlements with fewer than 2,500 residents; areas designated as rural can have population densities as high as 999 per square mile.
