http://www.journeymalaysia.com/ptasingapore.htm
https://www.aeroline.com.sg/sc_hf.html
2. 聽聞馬來西亞境內也有大巴由吉隆坡到 Johor Bahru,

It's not worth taking the coach just to Johor Bahru, as the ordinary (cheap) coach's fare is only about RM10 less than the coach to Singapore (but note that some coaches will pass Johor Bahru anyway to drop off passengers), and you still need to spend at least RM2 for on bus/taxi to Singapore.
It's better to take a premium coach (usually double deck and MAN/Scania chassis, more expensive at about RM80-100, and stop at shopping malls/hotels), rather than a cheap RM40 coach to Singapore (which uses the new TBS Terminal outside the city- Puduraya is now closed and will be used for other coaches), unless they guarantee that they will use Second Link to Singapore andnot stopping in Johor Bahru. Most cheaper coaches will stop for meal breaks, and drop off passengers in Johor Bahru, and waiting for passengers from some countries to clear immigration via Causeway can be a real pain to wait. It's not worth risking your flight for about HK$100, and you can enjoy onboard F&B and entertainment on board.
Transtar is good but expensive on certain departures, Aeroline's price is mostly fixed but on older coaches I believe still does not have personal TV.
Some of my friends recommended First Coach but it's does not stop in the city centre, it is cheaper and uses Second Link (only stops for toilet breaks and immigration).
For the cheaper choices, many are available such as Sri Maju, Five Stars, Grassland, Transnasional, Starmart, and so on. Try to go for these bigger players. Some of them have good equipment, even PTV as well, but will not be much cheaper than the premium coaches. Beware of leaf spring Japanese chassis for some departures, which makes you really tired after the ride.
TS1 only goes to Kotaraya 2 Terminal, not Larkin where the coaches will stop. And TS1 might not be too suitable for your difficult to predict schedule at 1 hour frequency.
[ 本帖最後由 rainbowbus 於 2011-4-17 12:24 編輯 ] Thanks for all the recommendations, it's more clear about for the actual cross-boundary bus operation.
May be it's better for me to choose a bus go directly to singapore downtown and reserve for about 5-6 hours for the trip.
May I ask two more questions, which are about ticketing selling & JB - Causeway immgration process.
1. From some forum information, I noticed that it is difficult to book for the ticket right before the departure. So, is it possible
to reserve a seat by phone in advance, or book via internet is better?
2. For JB - Causeway immigration process, I just wanna to know more - it is similar to Huanggang - Lok Ma Chau (Yellow bus) one?
Since I found that SBS operates two routes 170/170x, some people said all passengers have to take-off the bus for immigration
checking, and board for another bus... etc.
Sorry for asking so many questions.

Thanks for all the recommendations, it's more clear about for the actual cross-boundary bus operation.
May be it's better for me to choose a bus go directly to singapore downtown and reserve for about ...
1. It depends on each company. For instance, Transtar does not offer booking, but you can purchase tickets in advance online or at its agents (even in Singapore but it's more expensive). But even if there is booking, you might still need to appear in advance to purchase the ticket over at the counter. For myself I'll always buy ticket in advance, especially there is no time for any error.
2. All passengers have to alight at the checkpoints in both Singapore and Malaysia. For normal buses such as SBST, SMRT, Causeway Link, SJE, AC7, TS1&8, you can continue the journey as long as it is from the same company, and pay the fare again if it is not.
If you are going by coach, you will have to take back the same coach. If you intend to change to other buses, tell the driver so and he will not wait for you. However, the coach will not wait for you if you have took too long (depending on the queue, as the 2nd driver and attendant have to get off the bus like the passengers).
Also, please note that there is x-ray luggage scanning and metal detectors when entering Singapore. It is usually okay to leave the luggage on the Malaysian side when leaving Malaysia (but beware of your more expensive belongings).
Also to note, traffic can be unpredictable across the Causeway during peak hours, weekends and long holidays, so I strongly advise you against taking buses which crosses the Causeway (if not have an allowance of at least 2 hours).
