如題。

最新購入既有前DL既MD-11,
照計這間公司應該有資金購買全新貨機,
但點解專門購入二手客機並改裝成貨機的?

其實在貨運公司的立場來說,投資一架舊機可能係一架新飛機的一半,
而且貨物無人命咁矜貴,只要架飛機無事無幹又cum捱就得

The cost of buying second hand jets are cheaper...
Also, normally a jet could fly for nearly 30yrs or above... But many airlines retire them from services due to economical issue and other problem 10-15yrs after it entry services and replace them by newer jets...
Since there are so many good condition second hand jets around... Unless there are some special requirement... It is not as necessary for cargo airlines to operate as many first hand jets...
That is also the reon why you could find so many DC-9F/B727F still flying in good condition at the moment and even DC-8F with some smaller cargo compary...

By the way, UPS still has a large DC-8-71/72 fleet. UPS is purchasing additional MD-11 to replace the DC-8

其實新又好二手又好對於貨機泥講都係一樣o既~

K4都有食人地D 2手機 不過比起FedEx/POLAR/UPS/ATLAS.........
