苏格兰客车制造商亚历山大丹尼斯近日宣布斩获近1000台客车订单。这批订单价值约2.2亿英镑，将于未来18个月完成交付。其中，香港一家领先的客运企业采购了640台客车，其中530台为三轴双层新一代Enviro500客车。这种新型客车更轻、更节油，易于操控，可以容纳135名乘客。另一种车型是非常畅销的Enviro200，这是一种更为机动灵活的中巴。这家苏格兰客车制造商计划未来在英国推出下一代混合动力车型，目前已经得到了150台该类客车订单。将于未来六个月完成交付。 直抄 Bus & Coach Buyer 的報道，

“Our next generation Enviro400 double deck will address the same fundamentals. As I have indicated, it will be lighter, more fuel efficient, more robust, reliable, easier to service and maintain. Thanks to the input of customers, it will address their wants and needs.
“In the meantime, we will move to production of our next generation hybrid in just a few weeks. This will introduce stop-start technology and reduce fuel consumption – and emissions – by a further 8-10%.
