[Denver, CO, US] 輕鐵及翻新中 Union Station 雜攝 (多圖)

去 Denver 公幹，順便視察當地公共交通。

俗稱 mile-high city 的 Denver，是 mountain time zone 裏面最大的城巿，
沒有地鐵，但設有輕鐵服務，穿梭巿內。未來幾年內，輕鐵網絡還將急速擴展。

Denver 的輕鐵已經有二十年歷史，由 RTD 營運，車卡全數由西門子製造，
包括 1994 至 2000 年投入服務的 SD-100（車卡編號101-149）
及 2005 至 2005 年投入服務的 SD-160（車卡編號201-268），運作時以2、3或4卡為一組。
兩款列車外觀並無明顯分別，最大分別是 SD-100 採用摺門，而 SD-160 採用趟門。

為了拍攝 SD-160 列車內籠，特意從 16th St 搭一個站，到 Convention Center 下車。
因為手持轉車票的緣故，不用額外付費。

鐵路迷另一必到之處，就是 Denver 的 Union Station。

Union Station 在 1881 年啟用，現正進行大規模翻新，工程快將完成。
Union Station 大樓，大部分地方都禁止進入，
只有地下一層少量空間，用作票務處及行李間。

新車站設有地底部分，但尚未開放。

永久車站月台剛在幾天前開放使用，設有七個月台。拍攝之時正值中午，
只有中間一個月台停泊一列 Amtrak 雙層列車。

與新車站月台一街之隔的 Union Station Transit Center，是其中三條輕鐵線的終點站。

巿政府鼓勵巿民使用公共交通及單車代步，RTD 在巿內幾個地點都有設單車供巿民租用。

這間鐵路公司唔怕俾例如關注輪椅人士的組織捱轟？:$

睇下上面兩張相，車頭/車尾位置有斜道，供輪椅客直接進入車廂。
（未見過車門點運作，但係根據呢張網上搵到的圖片，
車門梯級可以拉平變斜板，直接通往車站輪椅候車專用位置）

在第一隻門﹐看看扶手位﹐看到一塊疑似摺版﹐似乎可以先向後方拉開﹐再向外放下﹐成為一個平台(橋)供輪椅配合高月台進出車廂。

另一方無打開的車門﹐都看到相同的設備。
