First Bristol- BUS OPERATOR MAY INTRODUCE NO-GO AREAS FOR SERVICE

Last nights front page of Bristol Evening Post was given over to First Bristol's threat to identify no-go areas in the city because of the increasing problems of vandals on the buses. No specifics were given, other than to say the problem was now all over the city (not just parts of South Bristol as previously) and the backs of the top deck of double deckers were the worst problem. First Bristol's latest new deckers are of course used on a showcase route into one of the previously identified 'worst areas' and the next batch of new deckers are also going to run through the same areas!

Also in the paper was the launch of the local labour parties idea to ask bus passengers what they think about the bus service and how to improve it. They specifically mentioned that they would subsequently be asking First why it was taking so long to start the new showcase bus routes and more park and ride routes, both items that need more input from the council than the bus company!

This is getting even more funny now...

I wonder what will happen next if First Bristol ignore that again( or perhaps they
can't afford to?)...

By the way, does First Bristol pass that test so that no more restriction would be
applied to limit the amount of buese that First Birstol can have?

Assume they passed the VOSA inspection as a number of ex- Manchester Olympian gone and some ROE Olympian are ready to step down from next Friday. The no-go policy was introduced in Glasgow early this year as the Castlemilk area is very rough and even brand new B7TL suffers from vandalism.
