1. Background Information
Tung Chung Line Extension at Lantau North (TCL Extension) is a railway scheme to improve railway accessibility to Tung Chung West (TCW) and Tung Chung East (TCE) areas with extending the Tung Chung Line (TCL) overrun tunnels at existing Hong Kong Station (HOK) to satisfy the required train services for the proposed developments at Lantau North and airport expansion plans.
MTR Corporation Limited completed a technical study for TCLE and submitted a project proposal to Government in 2018. Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably qualified combined multi-disciplinary consultants who have or must establish an office in Hong Kong and have previous experience in railway preliminary design or feasibility studies, to carry out preliminary design for TCLE. It is anticipated that the preliminary design will be led by a civil and structural engineering consultant.
2. Scope of Services
The scope of TCLE preliminary design will include:
(a) a multi-disciplinary technical study to further develop the optimal scheme with consideration of the enhancement study,
(b) preparation of environmental impact assessment (EIA) and construction programme, costs and revenue;
(c) liaison with Government Departments to acquire all the necessary statutory requirements in a enquiry submission;
(d) preparation of the gazette plans; and
(e) providing supports to public consultation

連結提到機場快綫以及東涌綫均須延長越位隧道以增加班次,機場快綫延長越位隧道後方可以雙月台運作並增加班次呢個我明,但係東涌線目前係站前折返,唔明延長越位隧道可以如何增加班次?入面都提到越位隧道為安全設施,咁但係點解目前未延長都並非唔安全,而延長越位隧道提升安全又同增加班次有咩關係?

1) 機快同東涌線共線營運, 機快可以用全條越位隧道調頭, 縮短到整個運行周期就可以加密機快同東涌線班次
2) 東涌線班次加密後, 進出香港站車速會較現時高, 故有需要延長東涌線越位隧道長度, 增加緩衝距離避免列車過走撞牆
AREOT個460米最多只會起到軍營對出, 及於軍事通道以西興建通風樓
要避免北港島線興建時再次挖掘隧道, 我估係東涌線延線工程會同步興建部份香港-添馬之間東涌線管道

睇返立法會文件(甲/乙),隧道延長之後,似乎東涌線都會改成站後折返,應該有助增加班次?

無記錯係只有機快會用站後折返
東涌線理論上只會起長少少越位隧道
但唔知道會唔會同步起埋北港島線管道
