建議新巴18修改走線及增設假日服務

2019年運輸署以輔助城巴10號線為由,新巴18號線延長平日服務時間,然而有關方案非常離地,只安排於需求極低嘅平日非繁忙時段重新增設服務,漠視繁忙時段及假日需求,導致新增時段班次客量偏低
另外,現時新巴18走線乃為2015年因回應區議員反對聲音而修改,走線相當敷衍
鑑於現時新巴對18號線拉入西區嘅意慾極低,現時唯一可行方法為在現時走線上作出修改、延長平日服務時間及增設假日服務,以吸引乘客乘搭,從而再爭取延長服務至西區
建議如下:

1.修改平日服務時間及增設假日服務
平日服務時間
北角開
7:30、7:45
7:45-8:45(12分鐘一班)
9:00
(上述班次以永和街為終站)
9:15-16:00 (15分鐘一班)
16:00-20:00 (20分鐘一班)
(上述班次以港澳碼頭為終站)
港澳碼頭開
9:55-19:10(15分鐘一班)
19:10-21:10 (20分鐘一班)

星期六、日及公眾假期服務時間
北角開
9:00-19:40 (20分鐘一班)
(上述班次以港澳碼頭為終站)
港澳碼頭開
10:00-21:00(20分鐘一班)



2.修改走線
西行:
平日9:00及之前開出之班次維持不變,以永和街為終站
平日9:15及之後,星期六、日及公眾假期全日開出之班次改經德輔道中

新增巴士站:
1.置地廣場
2.中環街市
3.金龍中心
4.急庇利街

東行:
重新加停灣仔碼頭

因應走線修改,用車增至4部

3.增設與薄扶林道路線與18,18P轉乘優惠
現時18,18P與4,4X及30X提供轉乘優惠,第二程可減$1
現擴展至新巴91,城巴37A(往南區方向)、37B(往灣仔方向)、90B提供相同轉乘優惠

轉乘地點:
18,18P->37A,90B:置地廣場
18->91:中環街市
18P->91:恒生銀行總行
90B->18P:中山紀念公園
37B,90B->18:怡和大廈
37B,91->18P:西區警署
91->18港澳碼頭


建議好處:
1.回應繁忙時段及假日需求
2.讓中上環內街乘客不用步行較長路程
3.為薄扶林道(特別係瑪麗醫院)提供更多與18及18P轉乘優惠
4.灣仔碼頭重新增設特快往北角的巴士線

The latter part of 18 and 18P is the same so is there some way to at least partially merge it?

18 and 18P are serving different area, although 18 and 18P are same routing from North Point and Wan Chai North,18 Target passenger is Central and Sheung Wan and 18P is Central and also West Point area.
Also 18 and 18P are using Combined headway,so it is very diffcult to merge it

In my opinion, the 18P still need to stop in Central for west bound, Firstly, in this suggestion 18 will omit the Connaught Road Central after the morning hour, 18P still stop in Central can provide less impact to the 18 passenger, Also, 18P can also catching the West Point passenger especially the Pottinger Street station since the journey time from Central to West point are same with MTR

So, you suggest the 18P can provide the West bound special departure from North Point to West Point omit all the Central station? I think.

I think there should be a reroute for 2/18/18p/18x
2 - Same (via Henessy Road)
18 - Same
18P - Belcher's Bay to Yiu Tung
18X - Belcher's Bay to Island Resort
