Rerouting 8X - Happy Valley to Heng Fa Chuen (Circular)

1) To provide quick services from Happy Valley to Causeway Bay, North Point and Chai Wan
2) The route is too similar to 19
3) Heng Fa Chuen residents could have another option
Every 14-15 minutes: 07:00-09:30, 17:30-19:30
Every 18-20 minutes: 09:30-17:30, 19:30-21:30
Every 25 minutes: 06:20-07:00, 21:30-00:10
Fare: $6.2
Operator: Citybus (8X), NWFB regain operation of 19
From Gordon Road to Heng Fa Chuen: $5.3
From IVE to Heng Fa Chuen: $3.7
From Island Resort to Heng Fa Chuen: $2.9
From Island City to Happy Valley: $4.7
From Paterson Street to Happy Valley: $3.9
Journey Total: 43-65 mins (both ways)
Bus total: 2-6

Sorry guys, but the exact bus stops will be published shortly. Update: The route had been added 柴灣少咗一半以上特快往返北角嘅班次想點安排？小西灣區站位同支線唔同想點等車？ Actually, 8X goes via King's Road towards Happy Valley. Alternatively, we can make bus 19 more frequent. And I don't get your second question. How about looking at the route map links? Your new 8X have no stops in Chai Wan (don't said that Chai Wan Industial City is counted)
And the stops in Causeway Bay are get extremely far away from 19's.
BTW fare scaled up without reason, 1000% banned by DC
For your first question, thanks for bringing this issue to light. 19 will have it's frequency changed to 5-7 min in peak times and 12-13 mins off-peak, 18 mins in early morning / late night. 8X would be 14-15 mins in peak times, 18-20 mins off-peak, and 25-30 mins in early morning / late night.
For your second question, this is done deliberately and could be compensated by 19's frequency increased.
For your third question, this is an appropriate fare scaling up, because this is an express route. However, if the DC doesn't approve of the fare scaling up, we can return it to it's normal level ($6.2) After adapting ate214 and qunow's suggestions, the updated version is out on my original post! 本帖最後由 zacharyho907 於 2020-7-13 23:51 編輯
I have no idea that changes 8X into circular operation could bring any advantages! There are so many narrow streets which cannot allow buses to enter!
