新購的電動巴士亦有其重要「擺位」,林子豪指,政府陸續推出多個新發展區如屯門第五十四區、
粉嶺皇后山、洪水橋、安達臣道、古洞及坪輋等,九巴計畫行駛新發展區的巴士將採用電動巴士。
他亦解釋在現有地區及街道加設充電設施的難度甚高,但當局在新發展區的規劃上可先預留位置加設充電及變電站,是推動使用電動巴士的先決條件。
