R42回程增加車站建議

建議︰R42於回程往大圍時,加停城門隧道轉車站。

原因︰

[*]避免乘客於青馬轉車站等車過久(如︰A41P及A43等班次較疏之路線)。
[*]方便乘客更快捷地往返上水,馬鞍山等地。
[*]避免R8過份擠迫。

車站影響︰加停城門隧道轉車站

路線影響︰沒有

行車時間影響︰大約增加5~10分鐘

車資影響︰沒有

備註︰乘搭此線轉乘73X會比乘R8轉E41付出較高的車資。

42可以增設轉乘優惠給其它路線(如81K/88K等),方便乘客前往乘搭

原因︰

避免乘客於青馬轉車站等車過久(如︰A41P及A43等班次較疏之路線)。

方便乘客更快捷地往返上水,大埔,馬鞍山等地。

避免R8過份擠迫。

因為在沙田各地及各新市鎮都設有機場巴士線(A/E線)。

而加R42係方便市民係迪士尼走個時可以轉車入上水、馬鞍山,而唔駛等候20~60分鐘一班的 A41P/A43。

而且提著沉重行李的乘客一般都希望一程直接巴士,而唔希望上車落車去轉乘,故乘效不大。
而且補入車資方面會出現直接車較轉乘便宜的奇怪現象。(E41只收$13)

About the interchange fees. I think charging $10 for interchange with 40X/43X/47X/48X/49X/73X/278X and $5 for 263/269D since those 2 routes paid higher fees from Sha Tin (Octopus only) and $10 for pax paying cash...

If just charge $5 for interchange with 40x/43x/46x/47x..., the total fare is only $17.5/$16.6 that the entire passenger will not take R42 directly.
This case is also suitable on charge $5 for 263 and 269D, their total fare is only $18/$19.5.

I found that charging passenger at the interchange station is based on the basic fare that is $6.6, even the passenger is starting his trip from Tai Po or Sheung Shui by 73X/278X. If the passenger in the interchange station, he wants to take 269D, KMB will charge him $7.9 that the total fare is $14.5 when added with basic fare ($6.6).

If we charge the passenger in interchange station who takes R42 based on basic fare. The interchange fare is $13.3 ($19.9-$6.6=$13.3)
The total fee added with 40X/43X/278X ($20.8/24.2)will be cheaper than A41P/A43 BBI with R8 ($29/32).
Also the total fee added with 73X (21.7) will be higher than E41 BBI with R8 ($19).

So it is not possible to add the stop at interchange station towards Disney Land.
