[GB] MCW Metrobus Farewell Part 1
With only 1 garage left (NXWM Acocks Green) with 6 Metrobuses operating in the West Midlands. Aston Manor Road Transport Museum has organised a farewell event on the 14th March 2010 to mark this "soon to be history" era of this legendary bus type which was first introduced over 30 years ago. Some 15 Metrobuses took part in the event many of which have now been preserved including 2 from Manchester and 2 from the North East - Gateshead.Ex Travel Coventry 2618 and 3065 being cleaned in the garage the night before.

但可惜小弟小時係新界人, 無咩機會坐到 MCW @ MK-I 車身 ... :'(

其實香港果隻頭幅係咪同本土一樣,只係上層擋風玻璃推上左?

You are correct! The fibreglass dome is the same as the HK version apart from the upper window section. The only reason for that was trying to match the design similar to the Alexander R type front window.Size wise, the front glass for the UK Mk2 version is the same those on the Mk1. However London Transport has opted for the "pull-in" style for the small opening on top where pretty much the rest have opted the "push-out" style.

Is it a 5LXCT?
But many other Metrobuses were fitted with a 6LXB unit while retaining a rear engine compartment flush with the rear panel line, so would you mind enlightening me on why this could not be done to the vehicle?
