呢個係小弟觀察.... 其實港島區路線上,頂閘都好少會企到超載....
好多人都唔願意企得太貼,例如 E500 可以企 44/43 人,但好多時連 40 人都無....
而家新車裝對頭位
相比以前城記裝橫排凳
的確係少左令人想企入車廂內部的意慾

That sounds about right, considering a B9TL in the UK weighs a bit over 12,000kg empty.

The problem I heard during a discussion with a Wrightbus staff about the HK pair is not a simple overweight, but rather an overload of the rear axle. The problem actually has affected more on 7500, because it has fitted a supplement heating system within the main air-cond system, which upsets the balance of the bus as a whole. That is why the rear row of the seats upstairs have to go. The KMB one, on the other hand, hasn't got the heating module in the air-cond and could have got away without taking out the seats, but they did it anyway.

Apparently Wrightbus have actually proposed using lighter seats - a common theme in Britain nowadays - to reduce weight even further, but neither KMB or Citybus were warm with the idea. Had that happen, from what I have been told, each seat should save 3kg, which translate to a little over another 3 passengers.

And of course, the same can also go with the E400 as well.

The suprise is coming, as history, the KMB fleet were mostly fitted with the heating module, but CTB without heating module.
Why KMB get smart to reduce the heating module on this Volvo B9? :lol
