國 泰 擬 再 購 14 架 波 音 新 機
--希望可盡快更新機隊吧. 隔離板指
國泰會考慮加訂多 15 架 A330-300, 10 架 77W, 再加訂 2 架 350 ~
所有新機將會於 2015 年底年交付 (359 例外) ~
即係國泰而家最終 TOTAL 會有 46 架 77W, 32 架 350-900 (今次訂個兩部應該係 359),
至於幾多架 333 我就數唔到, 因為始終佢不斷係咁轉機過 KA (不過現階段黎講, CX 已經係全球營運最多 333 o既航空公司) ~

再仔細睇,佢而家仲negotiate緊14隻新機,我諗我可以收回#3的言論 - 744的終極replacement依然未有答案,不過應該就快。
諗返轉頭,佢呢鋪買15隻333 + 10隻77W,應該係為左擴展航線,預計未來幾年的expansion會好aggressive。
反而佢negotiate果14隻新機,如果係748i,其實幾make sense。而家CX的航線網絡入面,
至少有以下航點應該可以support到748i:
LHR - 3x 748i + 2x (?) 77W
FRA - 1x 748i
SFO - 1x 748i + 1x 77W
YVR - 1x 748i + 1x 77W (to JFK)
每個rotation至少要兩隻機,咁呢四個地點,每日七班748i,已經食左14隻。

Which means the 748 will not fit either, as both are ICAO code F size aircraft. The 748 only receive certain exemptions on using code E taxiways, but it can only fit to the same stands that fit the A380, as clearly mandated by the following document from Civil Aviation Department:

In any case, it doesn't look like either type is what Cathay is looking at.
