In 1983, rM1933 was repainted into a special 'General' livery, to mark 50 years of the creation of London Transport Board- created in 1933 to run all bus and tube services in London. It was owned by the London County Council, which run the Greater London area.
Now, RM1933 was repainted from the special 'choclate' livery applied in 2008 into the same 'General' livery again.
This livery was used by London Buses right up to 1939.
Rm1933 was 'restored' exactly to the livery it had in 1983- minus the special sticker [1933-1983] and the special adverts it carried.
here it is last Friday at the Tower. |

Oh no...the "chocolate" livery is gone?
Regretted that I didn't take a photo of the bus in August...
RM1933 still looks nice in its heritage livery though. |
