Once Hong Kong's tallest building until the late 1980s, Hopewell Centre has a revolving restaurant on its top floor, with a panoramic view of Hong Kong Island and beyond. The building has 64 floors and stands at 216 m tall. Since it backs a very steep slope, the rear entrance is on the 17th floor. Hopewell Holdings is currently planning to redevelop the surrounding areas with more skyscrapers.

8. Many towers try to get your attention in the Midlevels, where the rich get to see the harbour from their windows day and night.
14. As we turn east towards the middle-class residential areas on the north shores of Hong Kong Island, pencil towers emerge once again.
18. There are some pockets around the building that need redevelopment, but there is a lot of opposition from local groups who want some of the architecture preserved. Meanwhile, residents complain that the government is unable to relocate them to housing in the area.
20. If you don't want to go up to the top floor for a very cheap set lunch of HK$63, you can take the observation lift from the 17th floor rear entrance up to the 60-something/F. However, you will only see one side of the view.
