LDN: Route 4- the last non low floor

Dear All,

Friday 23rd of December was the last day of the operation of non low floor buses on all day regular services owned by TfL/london Buses. [only less than 30 such buses remain on service for school buses till 15 Jan 2006].

The last route was route 4 between Archway and Waterloo.

Metroline commeorated the event by arranging RT3062 and RML 903 to appear on the route.
I show RT3062 at the barbican and RML903 near the garage.

Route 4 was operated by Alex bodied volvo/olympians. those were replaced by hired trident from First, such as TN32806, but, by late Jan 2006, the new E400, delivered to HT garage will convert route 24 to E400, and the current buses on route 24 will transfer to route 4, releasing back the tridents to First.
10 double decks from HT garage will transfer to EW garage to replace the last LLWs from route 186.
