一部電腦正常可以用幾多年?

聽人講, notebook (或者叫 laptop) 比大機壽命短, 大約只有3-5年, 是否真的?

我身邊用notebook 的朋友 大部份都話部機用了3年就出現問題

本人在某電器店買 Fujitsu Siemens notebook, 在購買時可以選擇 3/4/5 年保養.
我只選擇3年, 不計機價, 要額外支付的保養費最平(約$2400). 不過選擇5年
亦只須多付約$900.

如果唔駛追o甘高技術(一般文書)既話，一部PC大約都可以用10年。  

如果 6 - 7 年前 ... 即係仲係 Windows 98 年代, 128MB Ram 已經唔係少野, 好多人果陣仲係得雙位數字o既 Ram ( 小心部舊機就係行 CPU P1 定 P2, 96MB Ram )

most problems are related to hdd because you can take your notebook anywhere you like
during your "trip", vibrations... are unavoidable right? If the computer is on, damages may be made

accumulations of damages may cause the complete failure of the drive

another problem with the old notebook would be about heat, monitors, cases and batt
heat: lack of air flow inside... heat causes damages on the electronic devices
monitors & cases: opening and closing cause damages at joints...
batt: degenerating at charging and discharging

小弟2000年買了一部 Stamp notebook (PIII 700, 256MB RAM, 9G HDD)
帶左去去英國用一年... 返HK繼續用, 係整過兩次,
不過用至去年年底才因機件經常過熱, 及膠外殼老化而退役,
但現在仍可作後備.

(即係用左5.5年)

It is no standard for use n years. Depend on your hardware.Some of products were provided 1 to 2 year maintenance.I choose to change a new when the hardware broken and maintenance expired.

My old PC is PIII 733 MHZ,128 MB SD RAM,80 GB Harddisk.S3D 9126 Display Card, AC97 external Sound Card, Lan Card

I bought it in 2000 year. It has been processed 6 years.
