Both cope with normal traffic well, although I think the B5LH is the quicker hybrid decker around.

The E400H is very refined and feels nicer to ride on, very smooth and quiet - not complete silent though - and you will be hard press to notice whether the diesel engine is running. I have covered how good the type is in the past and don't really need to repeats this again. It is the best hybrid bus in service in the UK. The end.

The B5LH on the other hand, with a proper gearbox, feels a bit more bus (or coach) like. Particularly when the engine cuts in (which it does most of the time), it just sounds like a B9TL. You will notice the engine is running or not, because when the engine cuts out, it feels like the bus has stalled and gone silent (reigning confusions among passengers!). If the battery has enough power, it will move off in complete silence until when it does about 15mph, the engine cuts in and it feels like a normal bus again. Overall, it's less refined, although it is a very interesting bus to be on.

Economy-wise, both are very comparable, although my understanding is the E400H has a slight edge on fuel consumption over the B5LH.

Both will struggle. I don't think E400H's HybriDive system is heavy duty enough to haul a HK size double decker efficiently. For the B5LH, the current design leaves very little room at the back, so fitting the air-cond will be difficult too.

If we are to see a hybrid from either manufacturer, it will currently not be in the current design I do not think.

我見E400h下層大銀幕中間好似有條柱? 係咩黎?

It's actually the rubber seal of two pieces of screen. Unlike, the HK CTB E400 with one full size wing screen and the majority of UK version E400 are coming with two pieces front screen. In case of one side of screen is broken by hard object, it can be replaced by one piece only and rather than replacing the whole piece.

肯定唔係, 如果用用兩塊玻璃, 水撥一定唔可以咁樣擺法

o個個係駕駛室保安玻璃個框

Not a single E400 anywhere in this world have a split windcreen at the front.
