ex- Bath Trident now destinated to York instead of Cornwall

ex Bath Tridents 32712 / 32715 / 32716 and 32717 (W712 / 715 / 716 / 717PHT) arrived in their
new home of York at approximately 20.30 on Thursday 26 Oct 2006.
It is due to the Volvo Maintainence contract for First York runs out in 2007 anyhow so shouldn't matter for
too long - and York certainly won't get another Volvo contract!. The vehicles they replace (Leyland Olympians) weren't Volvo either so nobody is any worse off. |

A note from Leon Daniel, Commercial Director of First Group UK Bus operation
I have moved these Tridents to York to remove the last Olympians from
daily service earlier than would otherwise have been the case
(Febraury 2007). The Tridents will then go to Devon and Cornwall to
join their stablemates in a series of moves via Cymru to ultimately
replace some M-reg Scania/Berkhof vehicles on Green Line services at
Berkshire.
This is therefore a temporary expedient. Had it been for longer I
would have moved the Tridents into Bristol and displaced some B7
double-deckers which would have been more at home in York under their
Volvo contract maintenance regime.
