The spirit of Australia in North America: QF73 SFO -> YVR

I have spent my New Year holiday with some friends in San Francisco, and now it’s time to get back to UBC. As there was a promotion for Qantas air tickets, we decided to try it out.

Boarding pass


Due to the strong wind (> 100km/h) and heavy rain in SFO, all the flights were delayed by at least 2 hours. Boarding time was to be announced.


Qantas staff distributed some snacks to us.



I walked around the gift shops in the restricted area, and found some souvenirs from the universities in San Francisco, including UC Berkeley and Stanford.


Finally, at around 1400, we were allowed to board the plane.

During the 1.5 hrs flight, a full set of lunch was distributed! (Totally unexpected as the flight was so short!) It was a grilled salmon filet, so yummy!


Remarks:
The inflight service was really good, especially a full meal was provided for such a short flight. I will definitely take Qantas again next time!
