真係唔明白一個咁資深 O既 機師會做埋 D 咁 O既 野

我就覺得如果佢依照飛行情序做係冇問題
不過佢今次自己唔依足情序, 自己話事
咁我就覺得佢......

You know what, I work really close to the runway (infact the end of the runway...) not only he should be fired. but he should be prosecude by Boeing, since this might cause accident at the Boeing runway....

What does that have anything to do with Boeing...? It's a better to do with the relevant aviation authority, not the manufacturer. From what I gather the problem is the pilot did not request the civil aviation authority in HK for a clearance to do the fly pass, despite requesting, and got cleared, by the tower controller of the airport to do so.

Doing these kind of stuff is not dangerous by default - Cathay actually did a fly display with one of its 744 in the Farnborough Airshow back in 2004. The matter is getting the proper clearance and planning beforehand, which apparently is not the case in this circumstance.

A point worth to note is that the 744 in Franborough was HOY, the first Asia's World City plane

off topic:

B-HOY已經係星期五(22FEB) 以CX3388飛往廈門改裝為第11隻74A

同時, 第9隻74A, B-HKE已完成工程並返回香港投入服務~

而B-HUG (ex-74J)亦正在進行改裝, 會係3星期後返港~~

CX現有既744(PAX):
3 x 74J
11 x 74A
10 x 744

No, you don't understand. In the civil aviation operational environment it is not the case. The fact of the matter is, the pilot requested to do a fly-by, and got cleared to do so by the tower controller of the airport. Without that, there is absolutely no way that the fly-by would have happened.

What he did wrong was he did not get prior clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority (other whatever it is called) in Hong Kong - who governs the operational procedures and framework of all HK registered civil air vehicles. Technically, he was cleared by the towered to do a fly-by, but he was not cleared by the HK authority to use a HK-registered aircraft to do so.

There is another clue - the FAA and NTSB were apparently ignorant to this incident. If they thought the plane was in danger, you can rest assured that they would have stuck their nose in by now.

Actually, this morning, when I was driving to work and listening to KIRO 710AM, FAA and NTSB decided to do an inquiry of this incident due to pressure from locals who live in Everett.  And this has become a big news here in Seattle, because it happen in Plaine field.

冇錯...航展俾你玩因為係作為表演同示範, 有晒許可同風險評估, 減少失誤.

但係今次冇許可之餘, 又突然有咁既操作係好危險...

冇事梗係好, 有事就麻煩...航展有準備都可以有事發生, 更可況呢d突然技癢既行為...
