What a difference a year makes- First - New buses

Hello all,
Yesterday, First in London took over route 150. They ordered new B7 volvos with Wright d/d bodies [called VNW by First] . here is a photo of one such bus.
I also post a photo of a similar bus which entered service in mid 2004. although it is the same basic model, notice the differences:
1. blindbox: 32658- that's the bus on route 150- shows the new route blind arrangement imposed by tfL.
2. Colour: 32658 shows the drab almost 100% red livery imposed by TfL.
3. Ventilation equipment: a new requirement by TfL; the equipment is identical to the one fitted to the batch of 12 in Putney Garage [Go Ahead Group]
Compare VNW32658 and VNW32402- and judge for yourself which one do you prefer?
Regards

Personally I think the 100% only looks good on Routemasters, but not on any other modern buses. |

Well, perhaps on some elder buses as well.
The elder buese with the simple body design fit the simple 100% red livery, but the design ofthe modern bus bodies are more complicated which they must be
put on different colours on the body in order to make the buses look good. |
