28 out of 50 Volvo B7RLE (66934-66961) ordered last year will soon deliver to FSA, according to the source I have got, 25 of them will now based at BATH , and Wells will get 3.
And because of this updated information I just got, which is differ from previously announced, I believe Bath will upgrade to almost 100% low floor convensional single deck services.
Further information will post on here once I get more details.
PS: I am so jealous with hkbw, they now have the most B7RLEs and we probably have the B10BLEs cascaded from them....#

What a news!
What on earth is Firtbus going to do with Bath Depot?!
However, I believe that, it will still be impossible for Bath to be
100% low floor convensional single deck services, unless the rest of the Benz are
also replaced.
Moreover, we will need to hear the non-stopped fan noise from the B7RLE
more often in the future.
p.s I have also heard that there should have 2 to 4 new double deckers
(I think that should be Volvo B7TL with Wright body)around one of the depot of FSA,
which have not come out to serivce yet. |

The conventional single deck bus, by all means in FirstGroup Language are the 4xxxx and 6xxxx series. The 5xxxx are the minibuses therefore FSA will still getting 100% Low floor conventional single deck fleet in Bath.
The new DD you mentioned, thats probably those I mentioned earlier, 3 Volvo Olympians bought from Keighley & District.

Otherwise, the 3 B7TL/ Wright are now allocated to Weston-super-Mare, on the X1 (Bristol- WSM) and branded.

norrislaw,
I am not sure whether the one you mentioned before was the one that I am talking
about.
As I heard that from a local bus driver. He said that he has seen 2 brand new
double deckers parking in the depot for a period of time already. Yet, they still
haven't come out to service yet.
I am not sure what he was talking about, but if his obseveration was real, then
that should be 2 Wright bodied B7TL. |
