1. In terms of production number, the B7TL and Trident are still head
to head. It must be note that much of the Trident order has gone to
Stagecoach, whose owners are important shareholders of ADL anyway,
and in the course of the last couple of years they have lost significant
number of customer to Volvo and, more notably, Scania.
2. Volvo, Scania are going to offer new range of products to cope with
the Euro 4 emission standard. I forgot the detail of the new Scania range,
but Volvo has announce a while back that the B7L range will be replaced
by the B9L range (including the double deck B7TL, which becomes B9TL).
Scania N94UD has been a success in its own right, despite it has not been
built in comparable numbers to its two biggest rivals.
For ADL, the coming year will be a challenging one, with the re-engineered
Trident, along with the new Enviro 400 body, it has a competitive product to
put up on the double decker market. On the single deck market, though, the
once all conquering Dart is a shadow of itself. At the <9m market, it is mauled
by the Optare Solo, the 10m version have seen very little demand and has
been challenged by VDL SB120. ADL's supermidi products, the Super Dart
and Enviro 300, has hardly proved to be as attractive to the heavier but more
durable full size products like B7RLE and CN94UB. Enviro 200 is heavily designed
with London market in mind, but, ironically, disliked by Transport for London,
so its future is looking very grim at the moment. Transbus' intended Enviro
100 design ended up with Plaxton, which is now building and offering it as
the Primo. In all, 2006 will not be a straight forward time for them any more.
Wright streetcar is a partnered programme with First, which holds the
first 100 production slot. Its success depends on whether First manage
to sell the idea to the local councils. It is a very different story as it is not
offered as a typical articulated bus.

產版會砌好...
仲有optare架新雙層低地台又無晒消息.
