那些B7RLE應該係運上新山裝Volgren殼,然後運返澳洲

SG Bus, I don't think there is any good look double decker route bus body then Gemilang in Malaysia
unless they are going to buy something else such as Malaysian built Volgren, but not a hope on that.

Wait, Volgren outsource the work to Malaysia? Those buses will deliver to which states? (In my mind, the bus bodies are built in aussie, somehow required by state gov to boost economy and encourage new jobs. pls correct me if i am wrong.)

Volgren also have buses built in UAE as well and bring back to Australia.

Currently Volgren have buses built in:
-Brisbane Transport for Brisbane Transport as well as some for Comfort Delgro
-Tomago, New South Wales, for STA in Sydney and Comfort Delgro
-Dandenong, Victoria (headquarter) for small operators
-Perth, Western Australia, for Transperth,(They also have some for Comfort Delgro in Sydney as well as KMB)
-Johor Bahru,Malaysia, for major operator in Melbourne, such as Volgren's sisters company: Grendas, Portsea etc, as well as East West Bus Lines
-United Arab Empire, for markets in middle east plus some for Melbourne its own

Thanks for your explaination. Being curious, why would Volgren bother to build buses in UAE and then ship back to Aussie as middle east is so far away from Australia. Is it the on shore factory being too busy to cope with orders?

Secondly, is it the overall manufacturing costs including shipping cheaper in Malaysia than to do it in Melbourne HQ? So that why Volgren bother to set up a factory in Johor Bahru and then ship buses back to Melbourne?

Not many Volgren built in UAE, but I am sure there is a large amount of Volvo B7RLE and some B7R with SC221 body built in JB, mainly for Grenda's group.

Reason probably is because of cheap labour cost in JB, and Volgren itself are very busy with orders for other bus company, especially for STA in Sydney and Comfort Delgro in both Sydney and Melbourne
