There are still many 11m Olympians and Metrobuses in service in KMB, still many choices for them

The thing is the chassis is still old. it doesn't matter how new the body is if the chassis is aged.

I wonder, can they lift the chassis out and store the body, or sell the body to another country and put a different chassis back to it.

This will be daft thing to do, consider the chassis worth much more than the body.
For all the work needed to take the body apart, and then reassemble it, why don't
you just get a new one, esp. when you get a new chassis?

haha, because that LHD Leyland at Ap Lei Chou Depot's chassis can be lifted ma, and also, the body still quite new lei.

(I thought CMB did buy 2nd bus body before, without chassis)

if they looking for a garnder engine Olympian, i think it is a good bus to buy ( if KMB sell it as a Runner)

I don't think so...

Similar cases can be found in Citybus 341.
I remembered, once 341 shipped back to UK.
I wondered why Citybus 122/341 can still be sold to others.
Citybus 122/341 also caught the fire in late 1991.
The chassis is converted to be a longer one.

I think the chassis haven't been affected by the fire.
But do the elongation of the chassis affect the strength of the chassis?
That's my question mark on Citybus 122/341.
