We continued to wind our way through the streets of Mitte and noticed a number of large shops. However, it was fairly early in the morning so the streets were quiet.
The Fernsehturm opened in 1969 and towers above the former East Berlin. However, compared to the other vantage points InitialD18 and I visited, this one was a disappointment. The windows made it very difficult to take pictures with a lot of glare.
The observation deck is located at 203 m.
At the bottom, the Palace of the Republic is being deconstructed and returned to its former glory.
