取消航班的航空公司的影響

其實取消一班機對航空公司會有幾大影響呢?
好似在15/10當日早上, 我見到三班港聯航空去不同目的地既航到都取消晒, 係唔夠客的係咩原因呢/?

Well... How much problem will cause for the airlines to cancell a flight... That really depence on the loading factor on that specific flight...
If you see 3 flights of UO going to different destinations have been cancelled could be lack of passenger... And if there is a very poor loading factor on both direction and airlines like KA have spare seats on their aircrafts, I believe UO would rather make a deal with KA to carry the affected passenger... Then their aircraft just stay at HKG...
Since if there is a poor loading and you still operate the flight... Then you wont be making any more and in fact make loss to operate a near empty flight... As on the flight, you still need to put 2 cabin and 2 cockpit crew on and also the fuel cost... Landing/parking cost at the foreign airport... If you add all these cost together, it would surely be cheaper to transfer the passenger to another airlines which operate on the route...
By doing this, it will benefit both carrier... As UO wont make as much loss to transfer the passenger rather than flying the flight... And the carrier helping UO will get more revenue from the flight... As UO would be paying them to carry those passenger...
